Car finance for professional tennis players

Sorbus Finance helps professional tennis players explore car finance with relevant lender access and a broker to put prize money and sponsorship into context. We support company enquiries and personal enquiries where you meet the high-net-worth criteria. All finance is subject to eligibility checks, status and lender criteria.

Broker support to help you move forward

Access to relevant lenders, help presenting your circumstances and a broker to explain the next step: that is the value Sorbus brings to your enquiry.

Personal borrowing is a separate route from company finance. Sports professionals who meet the high-net-worth criteria may enquire personally, subject to eligibility checks and lender criteria. Sporting status alone does not establish eligibility.

Lender choice with a broker to explain your options

A car finance conversation should give your income more context than a single tournament result. Sorbus Finance can help explain your earnings and identify relevant lenders from our extensive panel of 150+ lenders. We focus on lenders whose criteria may fit the borrower and vehicle, rather than assume every lender in the wider panel offers this type of finance.

You have a broker to help bring prize money, sponsorship, appearance fees and other commercial receipts into a clearer picture. We explain the distinction between received income, signed commitments and future possibilities, including whether the money belongs to you or a company. That preparation supports a more focused lender conversation without treating future winnings as certain.

Keep your tour commitments in the picture

We start with what you want the finance to achieve and the commitments it needs to sit alongside. Travel, coaching and accommodation can make a difference to the cash available for a car, even after a successful tournament. Discussing those costs with a broker helps put the vehicle budget and available repayment structures in context before an application is prepared.

Think about periods away from competition as well as a full schedule. Injury, recovery or a planned break can affect receipts without changing payment dates on the finance agreement. A sensible discussion includes what happens if income falls or arrives later than expected, not only the current position.

Understand your company and personal options

If a company would borrow, it must have an appropriate reason to finance the vehicle and its own position must support the application. Personal prize money cannot simply be counted as company income. A lender may ask directors for a guarantee, which can make them personally liable if the company does not pay.

Personal enquiries are possible where the player meets the high-net-worth criteria for the appropriate Prestige route. This still requires eligibility checks and lender assessment. Selecting an income or asset option does not itself establish a legal exemption or confirm finance availability. Speak to your accountant or tax adviser about the right structure for you.

Compare the full commitment, not just the instalment

A broker can help you understand how different deposits, terms and final payments change the finance you are considering. We explain those trade-offs so you can look beyond a headline instalment. A balloon leaves a sum due at the end and needs a realistic repayment plan; future prize money, refinancing and vehicle resale values should not be assumed.

If you expect to change the car before the agreement ends, check early settlement or termination terms before proceeding. Obtain a settlement figure and any required permission before selling a financed vehicle. Returning the car does not automatically clear the balance unless the agreement provides that right.

Travel and residence can affect the options

Professional travel does not, by itself, establish UK residency or a UK credit history. Lenders may need to understand where you live, where the vehicle will be kept and the evidence available for the proposed borrower. Cross-border earnings or a thin UK credit file require explanation rather than a promise of acceptance.

A financed vehicle may have restrictions on use abroad or export. Check the agreement before making plans to take a car overseas for an extended period. A move, retirement or a change in sponsorship does not automatically release the borrower or a guarantor from an existing commitment.

Bring your next car plans to Sorbus

Whether you have found a particular car or are exploring a budget, the first conversation gives us a chance to understand the requirement and explain possible next steps. An agent or financial manager can contact us using their own details and with permission to discuss your circumstances. Keep bank details, identity documents and signed agreements out of the initial message.

Explore our Ferrari and Porsche guides if those marques interest you, then speak to the team about the car you have in mind. An initial enquiry involves no credit search or obligation. You gain a conversation about relevant lender options and the evidence needed to proceed, with an honest explanation if the requirement needs to change.
