What to expect after contacting Sorbus Finance, including the initial conversation, information sharing and lender application decisions.
The first conversation
You can explain what your business is looking to fund, the amount or asset involved and any relevant timing or constraints. Sorbus may ask questions to understand the business and whether the requirement fits its services. You can ask about the process, panel coverage, fees and commission before deciding what to do next.
An enquiry is not a commitment to take finance. It does not mean a lender has agreed to lend.
Information, applications and credit checks
The information needed depends on the requirement and the lender. Before you provide sensitive documents, ask what information is needed, how it will be used and shared, and whether a lender application or credit search is proposed. Do not assume that every enquiry involves a credit search; clarify this with Sorbus before any application is submitted.
Sorbus is a broker and may share information with a provider as part of an agreed lender approach. The privacy policy explains how personal information is handled.
Lender consideration and next steps
If you decide to proceed, Sorbus can help prepare information for a lender and may assist with lender questions. The lender carries out its own assessment and decides whether to make an offer, what terms apply and what documentation is required. The customer should review any offer and disclosures before accepting.
Sorbus does not guarantee a response time, approval or that finance will be available. If a requirement is unusual or one route is unsuitable, the broker can discuss whether another lender on its panel may be worth approaching; there is no guarantee that another provider will accept it.
